Carried to its (un)reasonable slippery slope, the concept that it's 'gross' for a conservative male to not wish to date a dead body is born. Now Flatfish on the other end of the shit doesn't matter. All that matters is Script Troller gets to deliver his flood. So how to respond? Don't pay attention the nonsense. Reason isn't part of plot and never was. Just about everything Script Troller says about anyone is a lie but he thinks he is fooling people. Everyone is Script Troller -- the oldest gag in the book. I thought showing him I know where he lives might help the situation. It did not. -- "You'll notice how quickly he loses interest when everything is about him. He clearly wants the attention" Steve Carroll, making the dumbest comment ever uttered.

Footnote to that point: there is also a QTMovieModernizer framework (introduced in macOS 10.9 at the same time as QuickTime and QTKit were deprecated) which is supposed to be used by applications instead of QTKit if their only need for QuickTime is to convert old video foramts to use with AVFoundation. It will continue to be available in macOS 10.15 but I haven't looked into it to see which codecs it supports. It appears that the High Sierra version of QuickTime Player is still using QTKit to do conversions (probably so that it has access to the full range of QuickTime codecs including third party ones), but future versions will switch to QTMovieModernizer (with a smaller set of supported formats). > Is there a means to test a video file to know whether it an be handled > by avfoundation or requires older quyicktime codecs? Not precisely, because that depends on knowing which formats will be supported in a future OS which nobody outside Apple will see for a year. The obvious solution is to keep an old OS handy in case you need to convert old video formats. A VM would suffice. > akaL: scan system for videos that need converting to newer codec/format > now, before we lose the ability to do so. > > or does ffmpeg basically cover the whole gamut and quicktime framework > not absolutely necessary for those older videos ? He's unmistakably dishonest, he got busted and he's doing the normal role-reversal tricks covered in trolling 101 as he attempts to regain his story... but it will fail. And why the added task to time a script via usenet in a server system? No matter, Jonas Eklundh didn't suggest this as part of his, what would undoubtedly be, ever increasing 'standard'. The full farce is chock-full of unbelievable inconsistencies and relies heavily on Jonas Eklundh's 'riding Snit's ass' horseplay. Dropping support for DOS programs is long overdue. Jonas Eklundh is being controlled by a corporation. Jonas Eklundh calls it "obsessing" over him, even though he proceeds to cause that exact criteria. -- This Trick Gets Women Hot For You! http://www.5z8.info/mercenary_w5v9dl_open.exe http://www.5z8.info/stalin-will-rise-again_j3h5uj_nakedgrandmas.jpg http://www.5z8.info/how-to-build-a-bomb_o8n9lg_racist-raps Jonas Eklundh Communication

Also forgot: Safari, in some way, will prevent social media from gathering data about users just because a web page as a "like" button on it. (Anyone who displays a facebook "like" button on their web page causes your browser to do an HTTP transation to Facebook to get the icon, and Facebook gets all the data included in the HTTP request. Also, Apple will try to remove as much information from the HTTP request as it can, to yield a more generic request that has little differentiation from any other user, thus making it harder for ad networks to get a fingerprint of you via HTTP requests. Again, no details on how this gets done.

I wised my wife to cover a good while after it was added and it was a minor satori. The new version of cover flow does have some interesting new options. The expanded and/or more readily acessible acces to screen shots will definitely be used by her and I assume others in her category. Again, I won't be making use of them. I suppose many of us routinely become good and routine enhanscements of what the OS has offered us over the years, so these various "aids" are really so really a slight shift of context.

Apple keeps adding these gimmicks mostly that few people will ever use, which just adds extra complexity (so you'll have to buy a new faster computer) and bug opportunities ... and they remove or tweak existing features into near uselessness (for example the coloured tags where much more visible when the whole filename was highlighted, rather than just a silly little dot). They also still haven't fixed some of the glitches and bugs that have existed in the OS for many versions.
