I think iLife did come with the education macs. I did some tech support for someoen with an eMac and it definitely had iLife. Never mind, I thought that page used to give more info. The third digit is the last digit of the manufacture year, and the 4th and 5th are the week. So my serial number starts W8924 which means it was made in 2009 in week 24 (June 8-14).
