If I were an Apple employee, I might actually know due to involvement
with your so-called project, silly.

Please tell us more about this supposed "secret deal" between the
department of homeland security and Steve Jobs! We're all ears - but
understandably not holding our breaths.

That was the NSA, and I wouldn't call it a "deal." It sounds like such
absurd fiction that it's easy to forget that the US does have
dangerously powerful secret police and secret courts. The Snowden leaks
weakened some legal loopholes that NSA and Homeland Security were using,
so it's only recently that tech companies have been able to even hint at
the government abusing their power. The weakening also allows Apple to
move towards client-side encryption so datacenters become more difficult
to abuse for mass surveillance.

The NSA renamed their secret police as Homeland Security, and Homeland
Security is currently faking its own budget collapse. There should be a
shiny new logo soon.

Grand Juries are one aspect of the secret courts and there are more
secret ones. e.g. where do people think the maps of the sacrifice
zones came from? Not just the gov't

Qwest CEO spent time in prison for refusing to hand over his
network to them. Some extremely brave librarians took a stand,
along with some very brave lawyers.

Kariakou was imprisoned for trying to get the truth out
and many more, heck there's a truth-teller that had to take a
job at an AAPL store and confronted one of his ex-coworker.

Hadn't thought of that, interesting angle

That's libelous and has no basis in fact.

tim cook works for apple and has said they do not and will not give
them backdoors.

they do comply with an nsl (they have to) but there's not much
information can offer since with ios 8, there's basically no way to
crack the encryption.

And if you won't take his word for it, I doubt you'd take any other
employee's word for it.
