Say I have one mac (mac-mini) with two large monitors.

Is it possible (maybe with some extra software) to have the ability to
move (throw) an open window from my macbook to those displays temporarily.

I already use Synergy to use my macbook's keyboard/trackpad on the
remote mac-mini. Now I'd like to move a window over (mostly to make some
space for other windows on the macbook but still be able to see
the other window)

This is not a direct answer to your question, but I wonder: Have you
considered using Mission Control & Spaces for this?:
