No I just mean, fire up your coffee maker and make your own coffee,
with beans that you have inspected yourself and perhaps even roasted
yourself. It's not exactly difficult you know.

Oh, you mean "brew".

I gather that you didn't bother to read the website at the link I
provided:

Who and what is Heartwing Roasters?

Thank you for visiting our site! This is where our business
launched in May, 2013 and where we continue to grow by roasting and
selling the freshest, best-tasting coffees you can find.

Heartwing Roasters specializes in fresh-roasting-to-order coffee
beans, then shipping them as quickly as possible so you can enjoy
better coffee. This means you order the beans you want, and let us know
how you want them roasted; light, medium, or dark. In-stock beans will
then be roasted and sent to you using two-day mail. You want fresher
coffee? I'm afraid you'll have to roast it yourself.

Fresh-roasted coffee takes a day or two to fully, "ripen." It is
then uniquely fresh in flavor and aroma for about a week. After that,
it will still taste fine, but will have lost the magic that is truly
fresh-roasted coffee. Once you receive your beans, you can put them in
the freezer for up to six months and still enjoy amazingly fresh
coffee.

My name is Luccia Rogers. I started roasting coffee at home for
myself in 2007 because I read it was the best way to get coffee one
really wanted, roasted just right, and fresher than anything in the
stores. I'm also a bit of a perfectionist and obsessive with things I
love and believe me, I love coffee. Heartwing Roasters was started
because those around me reminded me that one should always pursue one's
passions. Thanks again for visiting our site and thank you for buying
our fresh-roasted-to-order coffee beans.

You must not have seen the episode where Elaine calls him a "hipster
doofus". Kramer did not really drink alcohol, except in the episode
where he is singing the ad for the scotch.

Yeah, don't confuse Kramer with The Reverend Jim Ignatowski.

It was the Unix geek that bought an OS X machine before anybody else
did. It was a Unix geek that wrote the programs, it was a Unix geek
that got hired at Apple to improve the system, it was a Unix geek that
got his whole family onto OS X, and it will be a Unix geek who undoes
Apple's hopes of growing its desktop market share, if Apple doesn't get
its shit together.

Apple didn't have to put a user-accessible Unix into OS X (or any Unix
at all). This was a deliberate decision by Steve to court the computer
geeks out there, because they - not the Starbucks hipsters - are the
ones who initiate the long-term trends in the computer world.

As a side-effect of it being a part of NeXT's OS, yes: they did.

Wrong. Apple's purchase of NeXT had little to do with the fact that it
was Unix, and had more to do with the fact that Apple saw a way to
deliver the Mac experience with that operating system under the hood.

Apple had failed to develop its own real OS and was faltering, with
Windows NT soon to go to desktops with real pre-emptive multitasking.

Apple had also had failed management incapable of making the decisions
that would lead to Apple having its real OS.

One solution was a package: Get Steve Jobs back along with rights to an
OS that can be used to replace MacOS. I suspect the two cane together as
a package. But getting a Unix core wasn't a compromise, it was an
advantage since Apple could pursue not only the Mac Installed base but
also the Next and other Unix installed bases.

Of course Steve came with NeXT, but that was after Apple considered
other options, including Be OS, Windows NT, Solaris, and Pink OS.

Never said it was a compromise - I said the decision had more to do with
the fact that Apple saw a way to deliver the Mac experience with the
NeXT operating system under the hood.

Apple had the only "real OS" there was, and had had it for almost two
decades.

Almost nobody cares about the buzzword "pre-emptive multitasking".

Steve Jobs was a by-product. Apple had already looked at othre OSes to
use, as well as continuing to developer their own (which was virtually
complete when dropped).
