The real problems started when caveman Ug killed another caveman Ug (back then everyone and everything had the name Ug, which was a little confusing, but it was the only word they could say). ;-)

Nobody insulted you. You've clearly demonstrated a lack of understanding with regard to many things Apple does, and you clearly do not have insider knowledge, and make lots of wild claims out of pure ignorance. If you dislike this, stop doing it. Simple. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google. Use a real news client instead. JR

Judging frm Lewis and Jolly Rogers reactiosn to my not writing these articles, but just posting links to them, I can imagine how bad the article writers were treated. Ahhm "these writers know nothing". http://qz.com/328900/apple-software/ Lets see Jolly Rogers and friends accuse Jean-Louis Gassé of knowing nothing about Apple. And even if these do not represent reality, the issue is of image. If the media starts to harp on software quality at Apple, then it hurts Apple's image whether the problems exist or not.

But writing to the media outlets to inform > them that they have no knowledge or understanding of Apple might do > something ? I would say that people who have been Apple users for years, are ADC members, and who use OS X for their daily work probably know more about whether OS X is going in the right direction than undercover Apple reputation managers. My opinion is that Apple's keen on adding features but doesn't care if they don't work that well, or slowly rot away. Apple, in a snit with Google, decided to introduce Maps but hasn't really done much of anything with it. Apple has also oddly decided to dumb-ify iWork, FCP, and while lots of crap has been added to the Unix layer to support all kinds of new technology, these processes don't even have man pages. In the old days Apple had complete man pages for everything, even including processes that were only invoked by the OS itself. Clearly anybody with any Apple experience at all can see that OS X is going slowly to shit. I've been planning on upgrading my Mac but I suppose I will wait and see if the next version of OS X continues this trend, and if so I will move back to what I used before I got my first OS X machine in 2002 - FreeBSD. With FreeBSD you will never lack stability, and Wine has gotten to the point where all software I need for my daily work operates just fine. Plus FreeBSD isn't loaded with undocumented shitware that's constantly doing fuck knows what on my network, like OS X now does.
