You'd think that they would get these things to at least last until the Applecare expires these days.

More bad press for Apple: Editorials Apple’s Frequent Update Experiment Has Failed – It’s Time for Another Snow Leopard > http://www.tekrevue.com/yosemite-bugs-time-for-another-snow-leopard/?utm_content=bufferd9569&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer While some of it may be exagerated, it brings up a recurring theme: time for apple to stop with yearly releases and focus on getting stuff to work.

So you are of the opinion that Apple can continue with agressive yearly OS-X releases and maintain software reliability to what it was at Snow Leopard ?

When you consider what happened to Forstall, it would not surprise me to find out that Federighi (sp?) does not want to stand up against Shiller and friends to say "no" to all their demands. But the end result in inferior product despite all the new features. Remember that Apple is able to charge a premium because of its image of high quality products. Those bugs and especially media reports of said bugs erode that ability to charge a premium.

Perhaps then, you should take the time to respond/write to those media outlets who publish those articles that say that software quality at Apple has gone down, in part due to the push to deliver so much each year. Insulting me does nothing. But writing to the media outlets to inform them that they have no knowledge or understanding of Apple might do something ?

Not that I actually know much about it. I used OS/2 from 1994 to 2008. There were always plenty of programs for business/office applications. There were plenty of Internet applications also. The lack of "games" and the ability to play games was what was a major problem. However, DOS games would play very well on OS/2.

I still have an IBM PS/2 9556 running OS/2 Warp Connect. You always seem to "non-answer", or "non-reply" to most statements.

I used it and remember the issue was that when MS went to Win32 libraries/API, IBM didn't have the license to access it in OS/2. Only the older Win16 stuff. So, as every new Windows program came out or migrated to 32-bit, they wouldn't run anymore under OS/2 and you were stuck with old DOS and Windows programs and what few native OS/2 programs existed.
