The way this works is you're the one who wants a specific kind of
newsreader, so you should write it for yourself. If you do that
well, it'll likely have some value to others. If earning a living
eats into the time you have available, then the newsreader will just
take more time to complete.

If a sufficient amount is raised (right now, I’m working off the metric that the market might be 10x what the crowdfunding brings), I’ll consider offering it for sale.
