In other words, you tried to solicit his help and/or tried to get personal and/or off topic concerning his product and any support regarding it. And, he figured out there was something a bit off with you, and hasn't responded to you since. I get that. What I don't get is why you feel that's a legitimate excuse to besmirch him or his program? He didn't do anything to you of a nefarious nature, and, his program has an established track record. It's never done any of the things you've inferred it could. And, despite your claims, it has been thoroughly examined, multiple times. You're showing stupidity (it's not ignorance, as the process has been explained to you many times over the years) when you claim that such and such program has never been tested. You're an outsider, who's never gained insider access and never will; you haven't got the foggiest idea how such programs are tested, despite (as I wrote previously) having been told in great detail, in the past. It's always round and round with you. You retain NO KNOWLEDGE that's shared with you over a period of time. Had you been able to do so, you wouldn't be asking the same exact questions, a year later. -- Don't Panic. Just push the Reset button.

The fact he's asking the same questions about a false alarm, again, years later is an obvious cluebyfour that he does not retain information for long term use. Most likely, knowing David as I do, he contacted the author (again) trying to be buddy buddy and got the cold shoulder (rightfully so). As a result, he's rehashing his years old attack on the software by inferring that it could be doing nefarious things in the background. He did the same exact thing to Malwarebytes after myself and another forum admin disabled his account for repeated forum rules violations. He thought posting titty shots in a family friendly newsgroup was okay. So much so, that after it was deleted the first time and a warning was issued, he did it again. He has never demonstrated any concept of respect for others or their personal property. OTH, He has demonstrated multiple times that he's a batshit crazy, lying bastard, copyright infringing, stalker. >>> i know quite well what goes on internally on macos and ios, >>> having written countless apps on both (and other) platforms. >> >> I'll only ever believe that you are a developer once you tell us >> WHICH Apps you have written and under what real-life name. > > I'll only believe that's a good idea when hell freezes over. He doesn't even know what he's writing about. It's all about besmirching the software clamXAV. Nothing more, nothing less. He'll continue doing this until someone makes the necessary phone calls and starts legal action against him. That's what it'll take to get him to stop. > That you can tell what a program might have left behind by looking > for files with the text of the name in their file names. Indeed. He's actually tried doing that very thing! When he was informed he was wasting his time, he wasn't impressed. And, that's putting it mildly. > Since you're only asking in order to harass and annoy the > developer of ClamXAV, I'm not interested in asking. You hit the nail right on the head. full drive, right into the board. :) That's exactly what he's upto. That's how he operates. He did the same thing (and continues to this day) to me, because I wouldn't break various laws and help him with his bad guy crusade. These days though, he likes to rewrite history and claim he found a bad guy (me) instead of owning upto his efforts to recruit me to do some shady things to people I didn't know for his benefit. Yep, you guessed it, he had an already in progress ongoing fight of sorts with a couple of forum admins and wanted my help in gaining exceptional access to their forums. When I refused to do this, for free or payment, he decided I was a problem. [g] His first effort to fix his problem was trying to dox me with a gsv posting of what he thought was my house into multiple newsgroups. For years he lied and claimed he was just trying to see if he could convert an address into a clickable gsv url. Believable story on the surface, until you find multiple posts in different newsgroups (some I didn't even frequent) all asking the same question with the same url in each. ALL of this coming into being after I repeatedly refused his job offer. Coincidence? Harmless fun? I don't think so. Initial blackmail attempt is what I believe he was upto. He solidified that opinion with his recent, totally bullshit 'vxer blog' - Which was about to get shitcanned by the hosting provider for various ToS violations. Don't let him fool you into thinking he took it down because it was the right thing to do; it shouldn't have ever been up in the first place. And, it was about to be going the way of the dodo bird if he hadn't of acted, anyway. Along with a phone call from my police dept to his (again). I'd have been the second person to cause him an inperson visit with his police dept. The first time was the result of him threatening another posters kids in real life over usenet with a firearm introduction. David claimed on multiple occasions to have a legally authorized pistol. The cops knew nothing about it, and David wasn't able to provide them one to inspect, nor any paperwork supprting his authorization to have it. In other words, he lied about that too. Either he does have a gun, and has lied about the legality of it, or, he lied about having one in the first place. Either way, he lied. > You have not yet demonstrated that you care about this for ANY > OTHER APPLICATION. He attacked Malwarebytes with the same claims previously, after receiving a forum ban. It's one of his methods of operation. Attack the software and the author if he can't become best friends with the author for any reason. If the author catches onto his games and stops communicating with him, they can expect to see their name and software mentioned in a negative light by David Brooks in multiple usenet newsgroups and online www based forums. He did the same thing to BugHunter (my app), Malwarebytes, and ClamXAV. -- A scientist from Texas A&M University has invented a bra that keeps women's breasts from jiggling and prevents the nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in. At a news conference announcing the invention, the scientist was taken outside by a group of cowboys, who then proceeded to kick the shit out of him.

Then why aren't you accusing every single AV of potentially leaving behind a rootkit? Why have you singled Malwarebytes out in the past with the same slime as you're using for ClamXAV now, David? > No proof necessary. Other than a remailing coward, and, one possibly two individuals who like to sock as often as they can, people aren't expressing a problem with me. OTH, They are showing that they have a collection of problems with you. Mostly involving your well documented stalking, besmirching, sliming, You can continue demonstrating what an asshole you are on usenet by continuing to use my first and last name, despite my choosing not to post with it as often as you like David. You do me no harm by doing so. You only continue to show that you're every single bit the asshole myself and others continue to state you are. Your problem with me has always been your inability to get me to do shady rat bastard things to others for your benefit, and, you mistakenly thought you could force me to do so with a bit of prodding and threats. You've lied about me, you've tried to dox me numerous times, you've gone after family members numerous times and lied about them as well. You're really a pathetic individual the world wouldn't be in the least bit harmed or otherwise lose anything of value should you just foad. > That's certainly nothing of which to be proud. :-( While i'm certainly not proud of everything I've written or said, I find nothing about being a grayhat hacker to be ashamed of.
