I sent the 2004 copy back for a refund. Would not run more than 10 - 20
minutes without crashing (Word and Excel).
I have the 2008 v. which is okay, but a little too cartoonish (as was
the 2004 version). It's bizarrely slow too on some functions.
For some graphs with huge data sets I now use Numbers (much more capable
with massive data sets (to a limit anyway)) for graphing. But Numbers
has its drawbacks as well.

He used it to write several highly scholarly works, all of which are obscure, but published. His problems went away when I removed the second SODIMM in his G4 powerbook. There was a batch of them with bad memory sockets, and for some odd reason, it really stood out with Office 2004. This may have had no relation to your problems at all. Eventually, he bought this really nice Intel based Mac Laptop, and runs it under Rosetta. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S. Mendelson, N3OWJ/4X1GM/KBUH7245/KBUW5379
