They still respect others and even if they never articulated the concept above, they seem to just naturally get that you live your own way, lead by example, and respect others who choose to live differently, even if you disagree with them. I guess at the heart of the matter, I wonder why many others - far too many - don't seem to get that concept either actively or instinctively. It seems a fairly fundamental pillar of the human condition. Simple respect for one another. -- If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

In fact religous people are often the worst bigots, self-rightous and self-important morons you'll ever meet ... especially those idioits who go around knock on your door trying to "convert" you or of course when they reach the fanatic level like Osma Bin Liner. Religion, greed, and envy are the three main causes of wars.

Internal rules of the House of Representatives say that amendments to bills must be germane to the bill. However, those same rules say that if no one objects to an amendment that is not germane to the bill, the amendment is allowed. The Senate has no prohibition of nongermane amendments before cloture. -- All usenet users are quirky, but some are more quirky than others.

I thought the Republican Party had nipped it before it had done too much damage and sent Sarah palin back to Alaska where she can watch Russia from her mountain facing Wasila balcony. When people speak of the Tea Party now, do they simply refer to the more right wing elements inside the republican party ? Or is there still a separate organisation seeking to change the Republican Party ? Out of curiosity, if the Republican party decided to be more centrist and kick out its right wing nuts, foregoing the bible thumping anti abortionist gun lovers in exchange for gaining a lot of undecided and soft democratic votes, would the republican party be better off ? or would Sarah palin come back with a formal Tea Party (a 3rd option) and split votes, reducing the Republican party's chances ?
