You fail at the most basic task.

What does that mean? Are you able to write in proper English? You
fail at that most basic task.

My ability to communicate with newsgroups is an example of advanced
tasks I succeed at. Most computer users don't even know what the
purpose of newsgroups is, let alone how to engage with them.

One of the most basic tasks is to communicate clearly and you're
bizarre and repeated

> Okay, so one time? In band camp?

fails at that. WTF does that mean?

You also fail the basic task of being polite, which also makes you a
hypocrite, Lewis.

You're inability to post properly shows you as a fool. Posting multipart
shit to a text group is something a fool does.

I don't think you know what that word means. I have never once claimed
to be polite. In fact, I am purposely *impolite* to fools.

Yosemite has been "safe" on our six Macs since day one. It was
intolerant of an improperly signed driver for an astronomical CCD
camera, but a bit of gobbledygook entered in the terminal fixed that.

That said, I can't think of any improvement over Mavericks.

As for ratings on Apple's web site, remember that the few millions for
whom Yosemite works just fine are unlikely to seek out a place to rate
it because they're too busy using it.

It's safe but has many little issues. Here are some I've had:

- won't wake an Apple TV from sleep (Air Play).
	(Workaround: leave Apple TV on).

- USB drives dismounting spontaneously. This happened in Mavericks too,
but is worse in Yosemite.

- Search (and other options) using the expansion arrows not available
from Finder when Finder window is narrow.
	(Workaround: use CMD-F)

- Mail broken in various ways including losing settings for mail providers.

LOL! If that's your gauge, you shouldn't be using any software at all,
since all software has bugs and is "dangerous"!

I've been using Yosemity since release and have zero significant issues
with it. ; )

I've had no problem with several computers running it since Day One.

Yes, there are numerous reports of Macs that have been upgraded to
Yosemite and which then rise up and strangle their owners in their
sleep.

WTF? You don't actually seem to be asking a question.

I've been using Yosemite since it came out and nothing bad has happened.
My computer hasn't crashed, no data has been lost, it's still easy to
use.

It works fine. No problems here whatsoever. Then again I almost
always seem to be one of the lucky ones when it comes to OS X upgrades.
Been using OS X since it came out (10.0) and the only real
show-stopper for me was the 10.3 --> 10.4 upgrade when Apple broke the
Oxford 911 Firewire drivers.

there was a bug with 10.3.0 and firewire which was fixed within a week
or so.
