When I restart my iMac (21.5", 2.7GHz i5, OS 10.9.2), the system doesn't see my Apple USB full-size keyboard. It complains that there is no Bluetooth keyboard (the one that came with the Mac, which I no longer use). I have to unplug the keyboard and replug it to get the Mac to see it. Is there a way to fix this? -- _____________________________ Ron, the humblest guy in town

Is there a way to fix this? You may need to remove / unpair the Bluetooth keyboard from the list in the System Prefences. The Mac is probably looking for that one first and can't find it.

Hey, how come I didn't see that option in Bluetooth preferences before? Deleted the keyboard. That should do it. Thanks! -- _____________________________ Ron, the humblest guy in town

Interestingly, the above statement has no direct correlation with the suitability of Mac OS X 10.9 for the OP's USB keyboard. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter.
