Similarly, John, if he said "I quit" from a usenet locale, it means 
he's taking the weekend off and will be back on Monday for more of the 
same.  Again.  As always.

Quitting usenet was all the rage some years ago. Dave Balderstone was 
one of the last. If those who remain haven't quit by now, they never
