I am curious if Rolex or Omega have been sued bcause they didn't
produce versions of the Daytona, or Speedmaster for left handers.

If a watch maker makes no claims about having a model for left handed
(or having a model that can be adapted for left handed folks) then there
is no issue.

The pedantic issue was whether the Apple watch was perfectly adaptable
for left handed folks to a point where Apple could advertise it as such.

And for the record, I didn't complain about this. I complained about
someone making the claim the Apple Watch was perfectly adaptable for
left handed folks

And I have not personally seen any Apple claims to the effect. Only saw
claims to this effect in this newsgroup.

Why wouldn't a preferences option allow for inversion of the watch
display? That way it can be worn on the right wrist with the stem
facing out and the display oriented correctly. That could be a fix
managed in iOS or the watch display options.

What "bottom"?

The watch works excatly the same on both wrists. The only difference is
that on the left, the crown is at the top and the button is below and
on the right it is at the bottom and the button is above.

it's obvious 'botton' is a typo for button.

Well, not that obvious, I thought it was a typo for bottom.

Is there any other watch that, when worn on the right hand has the
crown facing the hand? I am wearing a Stuhrling watch, and have a
Movado watch. In both cases, the crown will face the body if worn on
the right hand. That is, of course, if you want to look at the watch
"right-side up".

The difference is that the crown on normal watches isn't really used as
a method of controlling anything (it's usually only there to wind the
watch and/or more rarely adjust the time).

The crown on the Apple Watch is there as a controller, meaning it will
need to be used far more often (which would mean blocking the screen if
used pointing up the arm), but luckily Apple had already thought of
that and the Apple Watch can be turned "upside-down".

I have a Swiss Army Watch, the battery lasts about 2 years. It's deadly
accurate (once you set if from a deadly accurate source -- it has that
"hacking" thing going on). I can go down to 100 metres underwater
wearing it, if I don't stay down there too long.

I also have 2 worthless Rolexes (trust me, there are such things) one of
which was probably water*proof* back in 1957.
