There were very few keyboard shortcuts in the original system.

And MacPaint, and most early 3rd-party software.

No, that was the standard for the Macintosh's OS at first. Changing it
to mean Print and introducing command-W to close a window were
introduced by Microsoft in their original products for the Mac.

Not if we have to wait for Mac OS X to return to normal speed (takes a

My guess would be his wife, or perhaps his mother or mother-in-law.

There's an old British TV show called "Minder" where the character
Arthur Daley always said "Her indoors" (or more precisely "'er
indoors") when referring to his wife, who was never seen on-screen.

That was a great show (he said, showing his age). George Cole is still

Yeah, "Herself" is my beloved partner, She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Yep, "She who must be obeyed" is another of Arthur Daley's phrases for
his wife. :-)

There's a recent-ish new Sky TV channel here in New Zeland called
"Jones!" that plays old shows, including "Minder". I've been
re-watching some of the episodes - it's a bit weird seeing Dennis
Waterman young in that and then older in episodes of "New Tricks" (on a
different channel).
