If you don't see a ticket or it is washed away or whatever, you get a
notification in the mail. Of course, the notification is to tell you the
ticket has been tripled for non-payment and a $50 administration fee
tacked onto it so that a $15 is now $95. They don't care if you never
got/saw the ticket.

Number 4 is the same for police officers as well - they're too busy
eating doughnuts (or "donuts" as American incorrectly spell it). ;-)

The silly thing is having irate illegal parkers occasionally willing to
go "postal" (sorry to use the undeserved pejorative term for emphasis)
if their freedom to park is questioned. Parking wardens should not have
to be afraid of parking miscreants.

If unrestrained gratuitous gun fights were common in parking lots,
people wouldn't need to subscribe to cable TV to watch gratuitous gun
fights and cop shows on TV, and this would greatly hurt the Hollywood
economy which depends a lot on people craving for violence on TV.

Its bad enough that mass murders in primary schools is becoming common
now. TV networks can't produce shows that include them anymore.

Cue argument about piss-poor US political system, and more particularly,
useless US gun laws.

Even if it was meant as a joke (far from certain) some people might take
it seriously. After all, if it's on the Internet you have to believe
it, even if you would doubt it if somebody walked up to you on the
street and told you the same thing.

Far from certain ? There was no doubt in my mind this was a joke. And
this, from a guy who considers Airplane !!! to be a documentary on early
1980s airline travel. (which was actually from a 1950s documentary
called "Zero Hour")

So I I considered that exploding Pillbury dought to be a joke, I don't
understand why anyone would actually take it seriously.

Perhaps some people are so deeply entranched into their political
religion/cult that they see any reference to their party as an attack
which must be defended.

This, for no reason in particular, remindes me of:

There once was an old maid from Wooster,
Who dreamt that a man had seduced her.
  But when she awoke,
  She found it a joke.
A bump in the mattress had goosed her.

Relax! Even as a knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing "to the right of the
Tea Party Republican", I didn't take the story seriously. It was right
out of "Grimm's Fairy Tale's". There was nothing of value to be gleaned

The MythBusters TV show did a piece on this (or a similar) story a
