I wrote it because you said you did in order to use CodeWeavers as your
method for running it.

Must I quote you?

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. There is no significant
difference between VMWare Fusion and Parallels.

You can run BM2000 on the web through Bridge Base Online. There's a
small fee, but I think it's cheaper than buying the application, and
simpler than all these emulator/embedding solutions.

Michelle has never been anything but totally civil to me. We're going to
try to meet up at the Nationals in Vegas at the end of the month.

Thanks Barry. That's probably the best solution. I just played a
sample hand there.

Hi!
Bridge Baron runs on Windows AND OS X :-)

Bridge Baron is used to play bridge against the computer. Bridge Master
2000 is a collection of bridge play problems. BB is not really an
alternative to BM2000.

If you say so. I don't know BM2000. On the other hand, Bridge Baron
comes with a number of tournament deals and all the necessary tools to
have you bid and play them correctly. It also shows the best deal for
both sides.
I would be happy to try out BM2000 if it does more than that.

I just played all five level-2 hands on the online version of BM2000
(Thanks again, Barry, for pointing it out.); I got three of them
correct on the first try, and two of them on the second.

From everything I've read and been told about it, it's the best there
is for play of the hand. Each hand is designed so there's only one
correct play, and each hand illustrates a specific principle.

BM2000 forces you to take the best line to succeed. If you don't take
the correct line, it moves defenders' cards around so that you'll go
down. For instance, if there's a 2-way finesse, but the correct line
involves not taking the finesse, the finesse will lose no matter which
way you try it.

Create a BBO account. You can sample 5 hands at each difficulty level

I had no problem with three hands at level 2, and got the other two
right on the second try. I've done three hands at level 3; two of
them, I had to have it show me the solution, but I had to do the third
one only twice.

If I had done all five level 2 exercises before playing today's 9:00 AM
game, I would have made a contract that I went down 1 at, and we would
have come in 2nd (or maybe tied for 2/3) instead of 3rd overall out of
15 pairs.

I know, but from everything I've been able to glean, BM2000 is the best
there is for play of the hand.
