I remember many many programs breaking with System 7 and many more with System 7.5 and many more with Mac OS 8.0. A lot broke with 10.3 (but very few with 10.0-10.2), and a lot again with 10.5. With Mac OS 8 (originally System 7.7) I was on the beta team and of the hundred or so bugs I filed nearly all of them where "program x crashes on launch" or "program y crashes when you try to print" sorts of bugs. >> > There is a game called Missile Command.
