Developers need to update their apps to work with 'Dark Mode'.

I think the "feature" has been badly misnamed. It's not designed for 
making everything dark or easier for peopl's eyes, it's simply for 
focussing on the content you're working on. Realisitically it's just 
another gimmick that few people will bother to use or even know about.

For "seasoned" citizen eyes, you should probably be looking at the 
"Accessibility" options instead.
