Most likely you need to go to:
    System Preferences -> Desktop & Screen Save -> Hot Corners

You can set each corner to do whatever you want, or do nothing at all.

If that doesn't stop it, then it could be a setting somewhere within 
your specific mouse's preferences ... either the System Preferences -> 
Mouse, or an extra app installed by a third-party mouse, or a system 
add-on app like Better Touch Tool.
