If you do that in a folder on the Finder it will take you up the path. You can even do it from the desktop (the Desktop folder sits in your user folder). I sometimes do this with folks who have tons of files on their desktop -- allows me to view the files in an alphabetical list or by last opened or the like. > Is this a joke, perhaps?
