Horrible advice. Your Name clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Don't take his advice. Take Apple's advice instead: When you set up the new computer and it asks you if you want to transfer your information from another computer, just follow the prompts to migrate your data from it to the new one. <https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205749> "We recommend that you let the setup assistant turn on FileVault, iCloud Keychain, and Find My Mac. You can also let it transfer information from another computer or Time Machine backup, or you can do that later using Migration Assistant." -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google. Use a real news client instead. JR
