You're talking nonsense. I've used low self-discharge NiMH rechargeable
batteries with Apple mice, track pads, and keyboards for many years, and
have *always* waited until the battery actually died to replace/recharge
them.  I'm still using the first set of batteries from 2009 are still
going strong. I use them daily with no problems what-so-ever.
