I get plenty fast reads and writes from mine:

With compression:
Read: 556MB/s
Write: 523MB/s

Without compression:
Read: 208MB/s
Write: 235MB/s

Of course SSDs are used for various things in various types of server
scenarios. Here's a recent write-up from AnandTech about server grade
