No need to pretend and no need for emulation. OS X runs on dozens of
non Apple x86 computers.

Hardware makers can't force you to use only their OS.
OS makers can prevent other hardware makers from using their SO w/o a
license and they cannot be compelled to license the OS to whomever wants it.
Many people do run OS X on "hackintosh's" (illegally).
