That's the supposed reasoning behind Apple swapping the direction of
scrolling. Technically it makes no sense since the content of the
window has always been what is scrolled - the real reason is the touch
interface of iOS and via touchpads supposedly make the new direction
more intuitive. Of course the reality is that most people have gotten
used to one method (or even both on separate devices), which is why
Apple included the Preferences option of reverting the change.
