Jony Ive really is a talentless hack. First he destroyed Apple's user
interface (admittedly the new Liquid Glass is equally as attrocious)
and some of Apple devices, now he has designed the ugliest (inside and
outside) Ferrari ever seen ... and it's a ridiculous four-door,
five-seater, EV! What was the Ferrari management thinking?!

This monstrosity is going to sell about as well as a cat-poo burger
would at McDonalds. :-\

Ferrari Reveals $640,000 EV Co-Designed by Jony Ive
    ---------------------------------------------------
Ferrari today unveiled the Luce, its first fully electric car,
designed with help from Apple's former design chief Jony Ive.

"Designed with Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson at the creative
collective LoveFrom, a singular design language unites the
exterior, interior, and interface with clarity and refined
    simplicity throughout," said Ferrari.

The exterior of the car has a "smooth, continuous, and
uninterrupted" design, with a "shell-like form" and "floating
    front and rear aerodynamic wings."

The interior has "precision-engineered mechanical buttons,
dials, toggles, and switches" combined with "multifunctional
    digital displays."

The three-spoke steering wheel is machined from 100% recycled
    aluminum.

The four-door, five-seat Luce is powered by four electric
motors providing up to 1,035 horsepower, and it is equipped
with a high‑capacity 122 kWh battery. Ferrari says the car
can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.5 seconds.

A dedicated app offers climate controls and charging settings,
and it displays the car's status.

Luce pricing starts at Euro550,000 (US$640,000) in Europe, with
production set to begin in late 2026. The car will launch in
the U.S. in the second quarter of 2027.

He did? What did he "destroy"? Be very specific.

Looks fine to me. Looks like a Ferrari. What did you expect it to
look like?

No it doesn't.

Jaguar killed the brand. Now Ferrari.

For a start, the change to the rdiculous "flat" design for the user
interface was an attrocious decision (on the same level as the awful
"Liquid Glass" nonsense). Putting Ive in charge of software was an
equally bad decision by Apple.

Almost everybody is complaining about how bad and un-Ferrari it is. The
x-boss of Ferrari is saying they should take the logos off it and that
at least teh Chinese won't be trying to copy it. Even the Italian
government has said it is bad look for Ferrari. Plus, to prove how
ashamed of the car they are, Ferrari didn't even bother giving the Pope
one ... they just gave him a steering wheel instead!

Even ignoring the ugly Ive design influence, Ferrari should never be
making silly SUVs, mini-SUVs, etc. Neither should Lamboghini, Porsche,
Aston Martin, etc.

The change to "flat" design is a fact.

The stupidity of "flat" design and "Liquid Glass" is an opinion ...
shared by MANY MANY other people.

That's the problem. It doesn't look anything like a Ferrari. Looks more
like a glorified Honda.
