Seems to be the same as iTunes 11.2.1. Can this be? Is the downloaded
.dmg to be trusted?

TIA.

Maybe you downloaded it before whatever's serving it for you got updated?

I haven't installed it yet, but looking inside the downloaded disk image
from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#itunes just now in Los Angeles -

Size: 330,414,872 bytes
Version: 11.2.2
SHA1: (iTunes)= e268cc12d62cedb863d0344c41da95a6cd5b5174

As compared with what I do have installed -

Size: 330,398,280 bytes
Version: 11.2.1
SHA1: (iTunes)= 871839961ee97bc0f33de177a4b81347c8fceb2f

Hashes are of the executable image: iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes
Sizes are of the complete application package, but exclude everything
not in the iTunes.app directory.

For 11.2.2 I get 517c961fac40d22b10eba9f26c75dc24c114d4a8, which is the
same what Furoris reports for 11.2.1

http://www.furoris.com/news/aggregator/sources/16

Apple's security announce mailing lists for iTunes 11.2.1
d7e00140775bd15069ded529388add2ce6f0b538

At least those are not the same, only the reporting by websites is
wrong. When checking in Terminal I get the correct hash.

Looking at the disk images, I see the same results -

SHA1(iTunes11.2.2.dmg)= 517c961fac40d22b10eba9f26c75dc24c114d4a8
SHA1(iTunes11.2.1.dmg)= d7e00140775bd15069ded529388add2ce6f0b538

Furoris have just copied Apple's web page, and on that Apple seem
to have mistakenly written this -

| iTunes 11.2.1 for OS X SHA1= 517c961fac40d22b10eba9f26c75dc24c114d4a8
