Hi guys,

I am writing a story using Scrivener fairly successfully. But I need to
set things out graphically in parallel with what I am going. I am
computer based in houw I work ... so I am looking for a graphic
organiser app that would be 20 or 30 dollars ?

I found MindManager and Inspiration but they are way out of my ability
to afford them.

Anyone have any ideas ?

I want to draw and label symbols and link them and arrange them on a
flow chart kind of way. I have Powerpoint but every element needs to be
drawn while I am looking for one where the linkages etc can be done
automatically ?

Tks :)

Most of the drawing and labeling applications like Concept Draw or
OmniGraffle are out of you price range.

A VERY simple graphic program that does boxes and drawing is diagramix
for $20.

https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/36709/diagrammix

Another option, albeit much simpler is Delineato Pro for $7.

https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/47613/delineato-pro

they both do very basic box and line drawing. Anything cheaper would be
plain paper and pencil.

If you're just trying to keep information organized and linked, there's
MindNode which is free (at least the lite version is). Mind node Pro is
$20 (Mac App store). I use it to flesh out projects and add the graphs
to my presentations where appropriate. Also use it for product roadmaps.

The lite v. does not allow for the addition of artwork (photos, other
graphs/files, etc.) - and even then I'm not sure the pro v. _shows_ the
art work - it may just be able to link and store them with your Mind
Node file.

Google Docs. The Drawing app does automatic connectors between shapes,
and of course it's free, modulo whatever Google can learn about you from
your diagrams...

Don't forget to report back for all of us who are interested in
conclusions to such things.
