Dear friends:

Thanks to Mavericks, we can read eBooks in our Mac.

But, how can we read in our Mac the Magazines that we are subscribed
through Apple Store? I mean the magazines that they appear in iOS Newstand.

Buy an iPad. AFAIK, the magazine reader is iPad only.

In fact, there isn't even a "magazine reader" as such. Each 'magazine'
that appears in the Newsstand is basically just an ordinary iOS app with
some loosely standardized behaviour and some compile-time options that
make it appear in the Newsstand 'folder', which is why no two of them
(from different publishers) look or behave alike.

On my iPad and my iMac I use Zenio;

I think it is a good idea, maybe I will move my Magazine subscriptions to
it. I don't know, however, if Zinio handles subscriptions to Newspapers
too.

Nope! Just magazines. For newspapers I find dedicated apps the best way
of dealing with those I get to regularly, and then there are some which
are best left to a browser as their apps are not well implemented. That
said Zinio does a pretty good job of presenting magazines on desktop or
iPad.

Note: Newsstand does NOT upload all magazines. One of mine can't, so it's
just another app doing something I used to have a folder for that I'm stuck
with. And Time, at least, brings up every issue for years when I want to
look at one of the commemorative issues I've saved, even offline 8-(.
Ofline it offers to sell them and online clutters my screen that way.

Correct, but it also ties in with a distribution model where the iPad can
automatically download the latest issues and an iCloud
account-based subscription service as well. It's not a reader, but it's
also more than just a folder :)

A little more, but only the bare minimum. Any App Store app can offer
in-app subscriptions (episodic games, for example), so they're not
special in that regard. And downloading new issues seems to be handled
differently in every app too, so I'd guess Apple aren't really offering
a standard way to do that either, over and above the basic push
notification technology that's also available to any other app.

True, but it was Newstand that prompted this functionality.

Yes, they are. This is unique to Newsstand apps and the push notifications
contains extra information "{content-available: 1}" which means that the
Newsstand Kit's bacground downloader will download the issue and make it
available to the app via an API. It can only be done once every 24 hours
per app though, so some daily newspapers may need to download updated
content "manually".
