Can you make OSX and all of its programs case-sensitive, too? Not
that I want to, I'm just being nosey.
If you can, is it easy or one-of-*those*-things?
Thanks.

Perhaps he's Win-trained and can't see how useful and easy OSX is in
certain circumstances. All he sees is how much of a pig's bastard it
is when it chooses to be difficult.
That's not a dig at OSX, *ALL* OSes are pig's bastards when they
baulk at what we want to do and OSX does do a lot of stuff differently
from *Nixxy and Win OSes.
Maybe Peter just doesn't feel comfortable with it, yet?

Okay, I won't. Thank you. And thank you for both saving my precious
little Macbook and *years* of tearful work.
I appreciate it.

*I* can. If I'm using a case-sensitive non-English language in
something I'm writing. But then I currently just fiddle until it
works. There may be other reasons but I haven't found any.
*Yet*!
And *I*, for your information, young man, haven't been a "laddie"
since people quit using duck feather as pens. :)

Which is needed to store the non-English names of the text documents
if written in a case-sensitive, non-English tongue.
A bit obscure, yes, but it's about the only case I could come up with
at short notice where I *might* need a case-sensitive FS. Even then
it's doubtful.
