Caused by the "<br><br>" in the > > source.) > > No. Which source? Webpages are mainly text marked up in HTML, the "source" is the HTML text and can be viewed often via View menu and View Source. I know you know this part but I have to say it because a voice is telling me to. Now and then, especially in demonstrating HTML tactics (tutorials), an author needs to actually show on the webpage itself what HTML text gets what effects, so there needs to be a way to sort of 'escape' characters so that they appear as themselves rather than cause the browser to do something it is usually supposed to do when it sees those characters. You can see the text in red and grey and green being surrounded by the greater than and lesser than signs in the webpage proper but just given references in the source: <http://dorayme.netweaver.com.au/css2Pseudo.html> To put this in plain English, if you retransubstantiate the synthetic categories of the first linguistic level into an analytic combobulation of third degree francansismos, you trick the browser into doing what it does not normally like doing but without upsetting it in any way, it is tolerant of this particular strategy. -- dorayme
