All I am asking is for the sig delimiter to be standard. His last few
posts have been that way.

As others have pointed out, PGP achieves little, if anything, but I
don't care about that. Only the sig, which is easy enough to trim, but a
lot of folks don't bother trimming anything.

I know others doing so too. I suspect the problem is the user.

Quite likely, but the question is, WHAT am I doing wrong?

MacSOUP works fine for me in 10.10.

I can't see any complex preferences I've used to get MacSOUP working
with Eternal September, and didn't need to change anything when I
upgraded to 10.10.

The Accounts tab specifies email account and news personality.

Incoming and Outgoing settings specify TCP/IP (deafult) with no options
selected.

Servers setting specifes news.eternal-september.org for the NTTP host,
with my username and password.

Using the current Tbird and these settings

Server Name: news.eternal-september.org

With ES, you have to match the port to the reader number, for example:
mine is reader80, so I have to enable port 80.

I'm using Unison, with eternal-september.org as my newsreader as I type
this. I had trouble when I first moved to Unison as well. Your server
should be news.eternal-september.org.
