Lightroom will let you put together multi-photo pages in various layouts in the print module. Instead of sending the job to a printer just print to JPEG file. Then use whatever is convenient for adding text if needed. I keep things simple and just use Preview for that. <https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1295663/FileChute/F%26P-multi6RS.jpg> > Thanks to everyone who told me the same thing I was missing 8-). I don't think that's a text editor costing no more than what comes as
basic with most Macs. I expect it is fancy that can generate html.

It isn't a text editor but it can certainly generate HTML pages for
image viewing for those that want that sort of thing. I can also create
multiple image pages which can be saved as a JEPG and then add text
using Preview.
<https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1295663/FileChute/F%26P-multi6RS.jpg>
With text added to the bottom.
<https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1295663/FileChute/F%26P-multi6RSe.jpg>
For those using the Adobe CC edition rather than the standalone version
they have the ability to share Lightroom Collections after syncing with
Lightroom Mobile. That has become my primary method of sharing a bunch
of images.

If all you need is an image editor with the capability to add text,
Pixelmator for both OSX and iOS does a very good job (it has the bonus
of very good iCloud integration). I just haven't tried using that to
create a multiple image single page document, I have never had that
need, but I'll do some playing.

I suppose generators are easier for most folk although even if you
don't know how to get about html and css, there are templates. There's
something nice about doing a lot with a little. <g>

Another one I'm going to have to investigate, I guess. I don't care for
needing to jump back and forth between programs. It's not something I've
had to do in the past.

Something else to investigate once I get the urgent problems under at least

If you go to one of the problematic image files and *Get Info* th
default for opening that file type shouldd be shown. Typically for
JPEGs opened in OSX that is usually *Preview*.
I would check to see what the default is. (I suspect it will be ColorIt)
To change click on that default and a drop down hierarchical menus,
listing all installed apps able to open that fil type. Select one, I
suggest using *Preview*.
Beneath that dropdown tab you should see "Use this application to open
all documents like this one." There is a button under these words
labelled "CHANGE". click on that and all of the files of that type
should now default to a new controlling app, hopefully one which is
more comatible with the other stuff you are using.
