When I download an mp3 interview on my Mac to transfer to my iPod, I often want to change the tags to my liking. I enter the new file into my iTunes library and then right click to the "get info" and then the "details" tab where I change it and then save it. Then I sync it via USB to my iPod. But most of the time, the new artist and album does not "take." Is there another way? OSX 8.5, iTunes v. 12.0.1, ipod touch gen 5, iOS 8.1. I would rather not "update" my Mac OS/

Sounds kind of like the songs aren't actually being synchronized to the device. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google. Use a real news client instead. JR

Have you gone through settings in iTunes to make sure the playlist it's in is one to be synched?

Acutally, I had meant to write "upgrade" as opposed to update, and in that case I prefer to keep the quotation marka. My iPod is only half full and I am not using playlists but drag and dropping individual mp3 files.

Use of parentheticals is your choice of course, but it's a real upgrade to 97.35% of all Mac users.
