I am using:

slrn 1.0.1
S-Lang Library Version: 2.2.4
Compiled on: Jan 7 2014 18:48:25
Operating System: Darwin

COMPILE TIME OPTIONS:
 Backends: +nntp -slrnpull -spool
External programs / libs: -canlock -inews -ssl -uudeview +iconv
 Features: +decoding +emphasized_text +end_of_thread +fake_refs
+gen_msgid
    -grouplens -msgid_cache +piping +rnlock +spoilers -strict_from
Using 64 bit integers for article numbers.

DEFAULTS:
 Default server object: nntp
 Default posting mechanism: nntp

According to the slrn reference manual, launching slrn with the
--kill-log command-line switch should cause it to keep a log of killed
articles:

<http://slrn.sourceforge.net/docs/slrn-manual-3.html>

I launch slrn with this command line:

slrn -f /path/to/newsrc -h my.news.server --kill-log
/path/to/slrn/killed

I have several scores that I have verified result in kills. Curiously,
the /path/to/slrn/killed file remains a zero-byte file.

Has anyone here used that feature successfully?
