#21149 — Thoth again

I recall seeing a long thread regarding the demise of Thoth here, but
now I can't access it using Unison.

Here's my question -

I downloaded Thoth a couple of years ago, so the one month trial period
has ended. Even a new download says that the trial is over and asks
for the registration code. Now it's impossible to obtain a
registration code.

Is there a work-around?

Thanks,

Dave

Find better newsreader?

Find a keygen/serial db?

Not without a TARDIS and access to the developer's systems.

Time to look for alternatives...

I've been using Unison but it's slow and clumsy in some aspects. I
may be forced to read the manual.

I find it simple and direct. It does what one would expect, but it's
not an all-purpose ginsu-knife for every usenet usage.

I found myself in trouble from deleting posts - particularly pictures.
Subsequent posts would all be mis-named. I was able to correct it by
deleting and resubscribing to the newsgroups - now the image have the
proper filenames.

I've not run into that oddity. There are other oddities I have run
into, though, but they are generally benign.

My mistake was to delete the posts using the delete key on the keyboard
rather than the delete icon in the toolbar.

I use ⌘M to indicate they are read. With binaries I delete them as
well with ⌘-Backspace.

Just to clarify--despite the toic header we're talking about the
operation of Unison, not Thoth.
