I'm having a problem with mail.app 8.2 running in Yosemite; deleted
message keep moving from the trash to the folder from where they were
deleted. I can't figure out what causes it, nor how to stop it.

"Include related messages" is not checked in Preferences.

Likely a behavior of IMAP settings in your mail service's server software.
The folders on your Mac--and behaviors--mirror those on the server.

I'm currently fighting an issue with the "Bulk Mail" folder in my Yahoo
account. Mail keeps being filtered into that folder, but neither my Mail.app
Rules nor filters in my Yahoo account are doing this...

Good luck.

Move de bewuste mail naar een andere mailbox of archiefbox. En kijk of
ie vandaaruit verwijderd kan worden.
Of rebuild even uitproberen.

This might be your email provider. Or double check you account "Mailbox
Behaviors" settings for that account.

I just unchecked "Store deleted messages on the server"; I'll see
whether that fixes the problem.

Thanks.

It doesn't seem to have helped.

I would try with another account with a different service provider
if possible. Just to make sure that it's an app problem.

I've been in Comcast's trial program for their IMAP service for the past
few years. It does this all the time. Also, messages that I read get
un-marked as read by themselves.

Is this happening will all of your accounts, or just one of them? If it's
happening with just one of them, which email host is it, and is it using
IMAP or what?

It was happening with two accounts, both of which are with the same
email host (hostmonster.com). I seem to have fixed it by deleting the
offending messages from the trash folder.

As I mentioned earlier, I see this, too. I have two IMAP accounts:
Comcast's trial server, and my work server. It only happens with the
Comcast server, and it happens on a regular basis.

So it seems like a bug in some IMAP servers, and it sounds like
hostmonster has one of these broken servers.

A friend of mine also uses hostmonster, and she doesn't have this
problem.
