#19266 — Itunes/IPod/Podcasts Question

Hi. I have an IMac running Mountain Lion and a 4th generation IPod
Touch running iOS 6.

I unsubscribed to and deleted a bunch of podcasts from Itunes on my
Mac. I then synced my IPod Touch and those deleted podcasts are still
being show on my IPod even though, as I said, I'm no longer subscribed
to them and I no longer have any episodes of them on my Mac.

I'd really like to remove those podcasts from being shown on my IPod
Touch -- is there a way to do it?

Thanks.

Sky

I thought that if you unsubscribed from a podcast, it was deleted from
the iTouch once you synch'ed it with the Mac via the cable.

If that's not the case, then I'd take the Mac and iTouch to your nearest
Genius Bar and have them figure it out.

No, and no!

When in synch with the device, go to the Podcasts section and untick
whatever you don't want to see. If "everything" is shown, tick "certain
podcasts" and select what you do want. (Wording not precise).

That's what I was expecting to, but it didn't happen.

The podcast should be removed from your iPod the next time you sync
after deleting from your Mac. Try syncing again. If that doesn't work,
consider resetting (restoring) your iPod, which will reset any settings
you have changed and require downloading apps and media files from your
Mac.

If that doesn't work, then something weird is going on.

There are preference settings that control deletion.
Likely those affect synching but I'm not sure.
