I've been trying to teach folks that there's nothing iOS can do that Android can't that I forgot about ports! You're right! I was wrong. I will agree with anyone who makes a logically sensible statement. Jolly Roger is correct. I was wrong. I apologize. There is one thing an unjailbroken iOS device can do that Android can't. It's true that unjailbroken iOS can access ports below 1024 for servers.

That's not what adults do. You should strive to listen to the teacher. In fact, we have a thread already on that topic where NOBODY could find a single thing that the iPhone does that Android doesn't already do, Chris. That's a lesson I thought I had already taught you Apple MAGA trolls. You're not ready to understand *why* the iPhone can't do what Android does, but Android does *everything* the iPhone can do, Chris. But it is a fact. Your first step in learning why is telling us all what functionality you think an iPhone can do that you think an Android phone cannot do. Bear in mind functionality is not "brand name", in that, for example, let's say someone claims "AirDrop(TM)" is an iPhone-only feature. That's a brand name, not unique functionality. Android has its own equivalents which are even better (in that they work on all platforms, yes, even on iOS). So saying "iPhones have AirDrop" isn't a valid argument if you claim that there is some functionality that the iPhone can do that Android doesn't do. Imagine claiming iPhones are superior because they have FaceTime, when Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, and a dozen other apps offer video calls with broader compatibility. That's not functionality, Chris. That's just brand worship. Here is your second lesson of the day, where you Apple trolls know nothing about Apple products as you don't even understand these basic truisms. 1. There is nothing iPhones can do that Android doesn't already do 2. There is plenty that Android can do that iPhones cannot do. 3. The reason is simple - a. Apple severely restricts what app developers can write b. Google can't.

Well, Jolly Roger brought it up just now, so I will agree I was wrong. There is one thing unjailbroken iOS can do that Android cannot do. Unjailbroken iOS can access ports below 1024 for servers, such as for SMB. Hence I fully agree there is this 1 thing iOS can do that Android can't do.

Name it and we'll discuss it, which is what adults do on adult newsgroups. If you think there's another functionality other than servers on privileged ports that you feel iOS can do that Android can't do, just name it. Note that we're not talking about brand names but actual functionality. For example, nospam would tout AirDrop as a unique Apple feature for fast, local file sharing but Android has had a similar feature for years called Nearby Share (now evolving into Quick Share in collaboration with Samsung and Google). Yet many iPhone users still believe Android lacks this capability because Apple branded it so effectively and Android's version wasn't as heavily marketed. So name a functionality (not a brand name) you feel iOS can do that Android can't. Once you realize they won't exist, then you're ready to learn why.
