The fact that the iPhone is not intended to be used with a command lines

iCloud Drive files are completely (and end-to-end) encrypted with keys
not available to Apple.

As is almost everything with Advanced Data Protection:

And how often is that really important?

This is good to know. I guess I never really looked into it. This will
be useful if I decide to move my content from its current server to
iCloud for convenience.

Boo hoo. Has nothing to do with the functionality being there.

Fast enough that I don’t have time to worry about it. Like I said, the
transfer happens in seconds. Without having to plug in cables.

So I can do it the hard way or the easy way. I choose the easy way. You
can do it the hard way. Everyone is happy.

Because Troll who knows nothing about Apple, macOS or UNIX.

In that respect he is very much like Arlen. Keep making absurd claims
that are easily proven wrong.

I mean, wouldn’t an intelligent adult first do some research before making
sweeping claims like “But your so-called "UNIX" doesn't seem to provide
basic Unix-type utilities like tar and sha256sum, does it?”

True. I have all but begged him to get to a point and he struggles. He
hates macOS. THAT is his point.

Very true... though Arlen is even more extreme with insane
self-congratulations.

That and be willing to admit when he is wrong. We ALL make mistakes.
Cool. Own them and move on.

I do know which “Unix certifications” Apple has or has not got for its
platforms, which it seems is a bit more than you.

You are one of the very, very few who really care about such
certifications. I know I do not. I know I just want a system that serves
me well. It happens that macOS does... with its Mac front end and Unix
underpinnings.

But UNIX does have some advantages over the Mac... a CLI would
be a great addition to the Mac. I would say that between Mac and
UNIX you have the best operating systems around.

The Mac is not the end all in computer technology. Where it
fails, UNIX excels. Between the two, there is almost no task
that computers would be used for that can not be done. And one
or the other will beat the competition in almost every area.

You claim to know but then insist a UNIX is not UNIX. It is... weird.

Remember, I was doing over 1000 photographs.
