#1375 — Baby Ya Don't Turn Me On!

I just bought a brand new battery for my Dell D610 and then a new 90
watt charger because that new battery woudn't charge with my old
charger. Now that the battery is charged, it suddenly stopped running
the laptop. Fully charged and the laptop won't turn on unless the AC
adaptor is plugged in. The battery LEDs all light up showing a 100 per
cnt charge and everything indicates a "perfect battery" but the unit
just won't turn on by battery power alone. Does anyone know why I
can't run my laptop on battery power alone? It worked before for an
hour or so, but now no joy.  ;-(

Take it back to where you got the battery & charger from.

Not clear what you mean.  If you power it on with plugged in,
can you unplug the AC and it still runs?
What's your definition of "everything" as regards indicates a perfect 
battery???

Download "pcwizard"
It can talk to the battery and see what it thinks is  happening.

Who said anything about a "perfect battery?" Anyway, the damn laptop
might come on when the battery is fully charged, but if the plug came
out during operation, the system won't run on the battery power; it
crashes.
