I have found no display settings to rotate my display to portrait mode on my
new HP-dv6t & dv7 laptops. I've got an nVidia GeForce 630M graphics card in
the dv6t and an intel HD graphics 3000 on the HP-dv7 laptop.
Is it that these graphics cards don't support screen rotation or something
else? Is there a software utility that can be installed that can manage
these tasks?

What happens when you right click on a blank area of the desktop, and
then select Graphics Properties?

On my Dell Vostro laptop, a dark (black or dark blue) dialogue panel
comes up with the Intel logo in the top LH corner. On the RHS, there is
a drop-down menu labelled "Rotation" with options for Normal, 90
degrees, 180 degrees and 270 degrees. Do you not have that?

If not, Google for Pivot Software. You can buy their utility to do it
even if it isn't supported by the original driver.

My dv6t nvidia control panel has a "rotate" option. Perhaps that's what
you're looking for?
