I am using my laptop with an external USB keyboard which does not have the Fn key the laptop's keyboard has and uses together with other keys for some control functions. Anybody knows if there is a key combo on the regular keyboard that can act as the laptop's Fn key?

Even if you have an external keyboard with a Fn key, it still won't
work. I am using a Visento v1 with a Fn key right now and it won't
operate any of the laptops Fn hotkeys. Although it uses the Fn key for
its own special functions like Explorer, Search, Calculator, email,
home, etc.
So if there is a way, I never found one yet. Things like sleep, mute,
volume up or down, etc. are doable with some external keyboards. But
things like brightness, Bluetooth on/off, WiFi on/off, switch monitor,
etc. you're stuck with the internal keyboard.
Once I was using this Visento external wireless keyboard with one of
these 17 inch laptops and the keyboard is almost the same size as the
internal one. And I got a crazy idea. And I thought how cool would it be
if a laptop manufacture made a laptop with a pull out wireless keyboard?
Heck I would think a lot of people would go for that one. ;-)

That makes the scroll lock key serve as a function key.

Not all Dell's have this. As mine doesn't.

I also have a problem on my Acer Aspire 5332 to switch of the scroll key, there is no scroll button on the keyboard and on the F12 key there is only a forward sign for video's and so. The Print Screen buttom have a SysRq underneath. Can anybody help me by switching the scroll lock off, because I am using Excel every day and this is not the best to work with that switched on?
