No, but I found some interesting postings in the forum! Thank you.
The solution seems to be Linux Mint orientated, so I don't see how it
could be obtained in Mageia.
(Having said that, I just found a directory in the netbook's /home:
.samsung-tools
containing a file: session.conf, containing:

BLUETOOTH_HOTKEY=disable
CPU_HOTKEY=disable

- but I have no idea how it got there, or what other components of
'samsung-tools' are around , or where that file fits with
anything else (yet).
On a different note, if the solution pointed to by the web site you
mentioned needs Linux Mint, I do have a Linux Format DVD containing
'Linux Mint 13 KDE'.
Failing all else, perhaps I will try an install of that.
