42T0825 is the Lenovo Atheros card. Does 802.11n on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
Robust linux support. Should be around $30. T60p probs only has 2 antennas
for wifi. In this case connect the two outer connectors and it will work
fine.

Thx for that, didn't know Lenovo did an atheros card, might look at whitelist BIOS and something newer.

If you want 802.11ac it’s going to require 3 things:

1. Whitelisted bios
2. Mini pcie half size to full size adapter
3. Intel AC 7260 card.

Indeed i've a link somewhere to zender's file & adapter kits are easy
enough to get, i've a 4 year old netbook with an atheros wifi card that
i could scavenge. Debian stretch will probably have a driver/firmware
package for it, will have to look at just what spec the atheros card is.

There is a pause on filling webpages that i don't think is just down to
the age of machine & the ATi gfx card.
