Like multitasking environments, TCP/IP stacks are one of those timeless and mythical pursuits that spawn an awful lot of talking and dreaming and planning. The thing is possible on the Apple II, but is it entirely practical? The question is irrelevant; it's the challenge of building it that matters. This article is an attempt to list all known TCP/IP implementations, and the features thereof, that are compatible with any model of Apple II. This list is in rough order of when each implementation was first begun. It took me about 3 hours to compile this information; please let me know of any factual errors or important omissions. Thanks.
