OK, so I too have my own database of Apple equipment and I found a good solution was just to give a lot of this old equipment and software away. ;-) (only half way joking, but seriously, I have been downsizing since fall 2014) Anyway, I have two systems. One is for everything, and it has a serial number, name, price, date received, and description fields (and some others too that I can't remember now). This is a MySQL database and I use phpMyAdmin as the frontend. The other system is for all printed matter: books, magazines, manuals. This is *far* more elaborate as it is an unfinished system for Mac GUI Vault (which I hope to finish, maybe in 2016). I would be happy to share the database schema for the first system. I regret that I probably couldn't put forth the time now to make a dedicated front-end, so my offer is probably not really valuable to you. -- ]DF$ The Marina IP stack for Apple II-- http://marina.a2hq.com/
