I'd like to try the COFF program whose source code is available here:
https://a2source.com/ksherlock/coff/blob/master/Read.Me

But I don't have the necessary tools and knowledge to build the binary executable file from this source code.

Does anyone have a copy of this program available for download somewhere ?
Thanks for your help!

Christophe

Go up one level to the project page and find drop-down-v download-menu on the right-hand side of the page to see the downloads available. Download the source code, or the zip or tar file you want.

I've uploaded COFF.BIN.1992sep28.SHK to asimov. It should be available
in the next couple days.

This Shrinkit archive is one I got from the author (Albert Chin-a-Young)
so many years ago.

I grabbed the file on Asimov FTP and it runs successfully in Orca. My preliminary tests show that it is more reliable than dumpobj that crashes on some files I have. And it has more options.
Many many thanks Jerry!!

You don't happen to also have APW C version 1.0.2?
I already have APW 1.0.2 (the base dev environment + assembler) and APW C 1.0, but I specifically need that latest version of APW C compiler and was unable to find it anywhere...

Hi Chistophe,

A little bit late I see ;-)

coff2019 @ http://www.brutaldeluxe.fr/public/coff/

I wrote the missing code (gsos.s) and understood what the missing .h files were (the std equates) so I made them available.
It assembles now, I built the Merlin, GNO, and Orca versions.
The missing part is the make.rez, I launched orca/m and tried to compile the coff.r file but no luck, so I build a more than basic one for the GNO and ORCA versions, and a less basic one for Merlin. I've asked Kelvin to help or I'll use the bin version on Asimov to add the resource data,

Thanks Antoine for looking into this.
I tried OMF Analyzer but it does not perform code disassembly as dumpobj / coff.
All versions of DumpObj that I tried have some issues with some object files and large files. coff seems more robust here but I'll have to make more tests.

Anyway thanks to all for your quick and efficient help. Great community!

I don't have APW 1.0.2. There is a 1.0 on asimov, but you probably
already have that:

Oh, that's my apwc 1.0 ;-) Christophe is after APW C 1.0.2

YK stands for Yvan Koenig, a French programmer on the IIgs. He disassembled AppleWorks GS, translated it to French. Claris gave its approval. It was sold by Bréjoux as BréjouxWorks in France.

He also did the first French version of 6.0.
